“Where do you get the ideas for these songs Steph?” 🤔

I get this question a bit — and really, my answer could get pretty long! But if I had to sum it up, I’d say this:

From the Bible.

God’s Word is full of gold! It reveals who He is so thoroughly, so beautifully.

A few years ago, I was reading Psalm 121 when a particular truth jumped off the page:

God never sleeps.

At Little Music Church, everything we do has two goals: to glorify God, and to serve young children and their families.

So naturally this wonderful truth just had to became a song — a song that could bless children by teaching them that there is a God who never grows tired or dozes off.

He always watches over His children.

When I think about how many children today are struggling with anxiety and big worries (it seems like every second mum I speak to has a child seeing the school psychologist 😢), I just want to shout from the rooftops:
You don’t need to be afraid, little ones! There is a God who loves you — and He never sleeps.

Instead of shouting, I put that truth into this song:

A song that could become part of a bedtime routine, or be enjoyed at times when your children need reassurance that God is watching over them.

(And yes — it’s also super cute, with all those sleepy animals!)
