And this is Little Music Church!

Our story goes like this.

Our local congregation had several small children who, service after service, were being hushed up in the aisles and the mother’s room of the church. Parents were trying to listen to the sermon, children were trying to play quietly. But really, neither ever happened!

In a leaders meeting one day, our Pastor made the off-handed suggestion “I can see there being a music program for our small children.”

But what a prophetic comment it was.

At once I knew he was right, and that I would be the one to take on the job! I went about looking for a music-based ministry curriculum designed for young children. I wanted to find songs that would explore the Christian faith AND engage children through movement.

As a former Speech Pathologist working with children, I knew the value of music and movement in a child’s development. I knew that music with movement was the perfect vehicle to spark and hold a child’s interest and help them learn. I wanted a curriculum that would strengthen a child’s bond with their care-giver, help their development, bring them joy, and grow their faith.

And when I found none I wrote my own!

Several years later the songs we wrote for our own children are now being released to the wider body of Christ.
