A BIG Little Music Church First 🙌

We reached a milestone last week.

Well, we’ve been reaching lots of milestones since launching, but this one in particular means a great deal to me.

As you know, we began writing songs 10 years ago, but it was only in October last year that we released our first album—Growing—which included a mix of old and new Little Music Church songs.

When we released that album, I remember thinking:

“Steph, don’t get discouraged if it takes a long time for this music to be discovered.”

And I plucked a random milestone and timeframe out of the air.

There were plenty of milestones I could have chosen, but for some reason, this one came to mind.

It was about Spotify.
I decided I wanted at least one song to reach over 1,000 streams—so that the sad little “<1000” wouldn’t sit there beside the song title forever.

And the timeframe I gave myself?

Ten years! 😂😂

Clearly, I was aiming low to avoid disappointment—but it worked!
It took all the pressure off and helped me focus on the joy of the journey.

Now for the good news…

Last week I jumped on Spotify and there it was—Master of the Music had cracked 1,000 streams!

It had reached 1,009! 🙌🙌

And it happened just 8 months after launching.

I couldn’t be happier!

I often hear from parents that their sons especially love Master of the Music.

Not surprising—what preschool-aged boy wouldn’t want to bang away on a drum while their parents smile and nod (because they know he’s really learning to obey Jesus)?!

Even more wonderfully, this milestone happened the very same day I flew home from a church leadership conference, where I had the opportunity to share about Little Music Church with a room full of pastors and leaders.

Their response was so encouraging.

So to our fans and followers—join me in giving thanks for the good things our great God is doing!
