Doesn’t stay DEAD for long

Today we dropped the first of our Easter videos—and it’s a wild one 😂

It’s called My Jesus Doesn’t Stay Dead for Long, and as you have probably guessed, it celebrates Jesus’ resurrection… but does so with a zany, country-western twist.

This quirky little tune tells the Easter story from a lighthearted angle, imagining the devil’s frustration when his plans were totally foiled by God’s power. Complete with a cowgirl, bouncing balls, toy horses, and a frying pan gong, the video is just as fun as the song.

As I’ve shared before, these Easter songs were first written back in 2020 when our in-person Easter event was cancelled due to the pandemic. We quickly pivoted to an online format—though making videos was entirely new for me!

This one features the fabulous Jo Hibbert from Little Goat Comedy, who brought the whacky cowgirl vibes to life in the best possible way.
